Description: |
In his day a much-admired composer, the Burgundian Antoine Busnois has been overshadowed by his great contemporary Jean Ockeghem. Best known nowadays for his elegant songs, his church music reveals a more ambitious aspect of his musical personality. These two settings of the Marian antiphon Regina caeli make an interesting contrast, the first being melismatic and long-spanned in the style of early Josquin while the second is more concise. For soloists or small choir: SAAT or ATTB. iii + 12 pages. ISMN 979-0-57039-059-5.
